This site is dedicated to the memory of my dear Aunt Duddie.
Aunt Duddie was born in Kansas City, Kansas on July 12, 1924. She was the third of 8 children and the first daughter of George and Anice Harris. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. She married Uncle Jerry on June 29, 1946 and along came Kris and Janice!
She was a member of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post 624 in Sunrise Beach. She has moved on to join Uncle Jerry and Janice and leaves behind Kris & Julie, four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Dolly Bonfy and Jenny Dimsdale and lots of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.

Thoughts
We have company here until monday so we cannot get away but all will be in our thoughts. i think it a great idea having it at kris,s home & bbq. Duddie would have loved that & been talking to everyone. she will be there in
spirit.

I am so sorry that we won't get to visit with Duddie. We haven't been able to visit much over the years but always such fun when we got together. I remember one trip when she and Jerry, and Niecy and Charlie came to Siloam
Springs when I had my bed-and-breakfast. She wanted to make 'egg butter' like Grandma Joseph always
made...so we made some for breakfast and I made biscuits. Pretty much like scones and lemon curd. That
came from Grandpa and English cooking, although Grandma was a very good cook, especially cookies.
I'm so glad Dolly and Dick had us come for the Harris reunion at their home, as I really did get to visit a
lot with Duddie. She didn't add a lot of conversation but I did feel that she was aware as she laughed
and seemed to enjoy the stories we talked about. Mostly about things that took place at 2531 Hiawatha.
I'll be thinking of you as you tell her goodbye this weekend. My love to all, Ruby
